Orkney RFC miss out on chance to take title
Robert Leslie 09/05/2010 23:50:00
ORKNEY Rugby Club went down 28-10 in their away game to Strathmore on
Saturday afternoon, but crucially prevented the home side taking a
bonus point from the game.
This means that a win by any margin against bottom placed Kinross next
week will be enough to take the Scottish Hydro Caledonia Division 1
title.
Orkney's points came from a Keith Oddie try (pictured) which was converted by James Linklater who also added a penalty.
Strathmore scored three tries, two of which were converted, and three
penalties, leaving the title to be decided on the last weekend of play
when Orkney will take on Kinross at home.
